Authentically American is a Veteran owned clothing company dedicated to manufacturing 100% American made apparel. We're working to reverse the dramatic decline in domestic clothing production - in the mid-1980s, nearly 75% of apparel worn in America was made in America, but today less than 3% is domestically produced.
Our mission is to create high-quality Made in the USA merchandise while supporting American workers, their families, and local communities. As a brand that celebrates American patriotism and honors our military heroes, we believe in keeping manufacturing jobs in the United States. Every single item we produce is made in America with no exceptions.

How do I wash and care for Authentically American clothing?
T-Shirts and Hoodies:
- Turn garments inside out before washing
- Wash in cold water only (30°F or below)
- Dry on lowest heat setting or tumble dry (no heat)
- Never iron directly on printed graphics
- Air drying is recommended to prevent shrinkage
Polo Shirts:
- Turn inside out, wash in cold water only
- Use the lowest dryer heat setting or tumble dry
- Never iron on embroidered graphics
- Hang dry when possible for best results
Outerwear (Quarter-Zips and Jackets):
- Turn inside out, cold water wash only
- Lowest heat or tumble dry setting
- Never iron embroidered areas
- Store on hangers to maintain shape
Performance Athletic Wear:
- Inside out, cold water washing is required
- Lowest heat drying or air dry
- Never iron printed graphics
- Avoid fabric softeners, which can reduce moisture-wicking properties
Hats:
- Unstructured "Dad" Hats: Machine washable using a hat cage protector (never put in dryer)
- Structured Hats: Hand wash only with a hat cleaning brush and specialized cleaner - machine washing will destroy the shape
Socks:
- Machine wash in cold water
- Can be dried on the lowest heat setting
- Made from durable American cotton blends

What is Authentically American's return and exchange policy?
Return Window: 30 days from delivery date for unworn, unwashed items in new condition
Return Requirements:
- Items must be unworn and unwashed
- Original condition with all tags attached
- Notify us within 10 days of delivery if there are any issues
Return Process:
- Contact us within 10 days of delivery for any problems
- Start your return through our online return portal
- Items not in original condition will be rejected
- Customer pays return shipping for rejected items
